6 things to know about Georgia football’s opponent: UAB

UAB is a more familiar opponent for Georgia football than you may think.

The Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) host the UAB Blazers (1-2) on Sept. 23. The game will be Georgia’s fourth straight home game to start the 2023 college football season.

The Georgia-UAB game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2.

The defending back-to-back national champions are coming off a 24-14 home win over South Carolina. Georgia is 3-0, but still looking for a complete performance.

Georgia has won 21 straight home games entering the UAB game. The Blazers last traveled to Athens, Georgia, in 2021. Georgia starting quarterback Carson Beck actually played a fair amount against the Blazers back in 2021.
