6 reasons why it’s definitely time for the Wizards to trade Bradley Beal

It’s been time.

For years now, Bradley Beal has been loyal to the Wizards and the organization has shown that loyalty right back.

They’ve offered him extension after extension and, in turn, he has quelled every single trade rumor that has come their way even when the team traded Russell Westbrook last summer.

There have been so many moments when Beal could have asked out — particularly after the team suffered one of the worst losses in league history to the Los Angeles Clippers. Anyone would ask out after that. I know I certainly did.

But, time and time again, Beal has unquestionably held firm that he wants to be in D.C. It’s been admirable, really.

Things are starting to sway a bit, though. The Athletic’s David Aldridge and Josh Robbins are reporting that, for the first time in a while, Beal isn’t opposing being moved (though he wants to say in Washington.)

“For the first time in a long time, sources close to Beal indicate he’s not rejecting out of hand the notion of trade elsewhere — even though his preference is to remain with the Wizards. Neither Beal nor his representatives, though, have officially asked for him to be moved with a week left before the deadline.”

The timing of Beal’s switch-up here couldn’t be better for the Wizards. Because right now is the moment to trade him.

Here’s why.
