6 burning questions heading into UFC on ESPN 7

The UFC hits our nation’s capital Saturday with a card that features several fights worth your time.

Will Song Yadong join the elite ranks at bantamweight?

No offense to [autotag]Cody Stamann[/autotag], who has won four out of five in the UFC and is certainly no one’s pushover. But China’s [autotag]Song Yadong[/autotag] is the one to watch in the evening’s bantamweight main-card opener.

The Team Alpha Male competitor is 4-0 in the UFC, with three finishes and three postfight bonuses along the way. His most recent outing featured a viral knockout of Alejandro Perez which earned a Performance of the Night award on the stacked UFC 239 card.

Yadong (15-4 MMA, 4-0 UFC) seems precisely one breakout performance away from entering the elite at 135. And an opponent like the talented Stamann (18-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in front of a large ESPN audience might be just the thing that gets him there.
