What does Patrick Mahomes do?
You hate to think of it, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Bills have the weird connection. The Bills traded back in a deal with the Chiefs at the 2017 NFL draft, and with their half of the trade, the Chiefs took Mahomes with Buffalo’s pick.
Three years removed, both teams have had their successes. The Bills got Tre’Davious White and Tremaine Edmunds out of that deal and Josh Allen has shown promise.
However, Allen is no former MVP and hasn’t led his team to deep playoff runs and is now one win away from the ultimate trophy. If Mahomes wins, it unfortunately will be another feather in the cap of those that believe the Bills lost that draft day trade.
