Five-star wide receiver Carnell Tate announced on Twitter that he plans to visit Athens, Georgia, on March 25-27.
Tate (IMG Academy/Bradenton, Florida) ranks as the nation’s No. 21 overall player and No. 3 wide receiver in the class of 2023, per 247Sports’ composite.
At the moment, 247Sports’ recruiting experts view Penn State and Ohio State as the leaders for the 6-foot-2, Chicago native.
Georgia brought back wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon this offseason after Cortez Hankton left for the same position at LSU. McClendon is looking to reel in some elite receivers in Georgia’s 2023 class that currently ranks No. 2 in the nation. It already has a commitment from two top-100 four-star receivers, Raymond Cottrell and Daquayvious Sorey.
