One of the top available players in the 2025 recruiting class announced his college commitment on Monday afternoon, and it unfortunately didn’t land in the hands of the Oregon Ducks this time.
5-star tight end Linkon Cure announced that he would be committing to the Kansas State Wildcats, staying in his home state instead of joining the Ducks, Texas A&M Aggies, or Kansas Jayhawks.
Cure is rated as the No. 2 tight end in the 2025 class, and the No. 26 overall player. He took an official visit to Eugene last month and left with some recruiting analysts thinking that the Ducks had a really good chance to land him.
A few days ago, the Ducks landed a commitment from 4-star TE Da’Saahn Brame, the No. 5 TE in the 2025 class. Once this happened, it appeared less likely that Cure would be committing to Oregon.
