The Oregon Ducks are going to find out in a month whether or not they can land one of the best defensive backs in the 2025 recruiting class.
On Wednesday afternoon, 5-star safety Jonah Williams announced that he will make his college commitment official on August 24th, picking between Oregon, USC, Texas A&M, LSU, and Texas.
Williams is rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 overall player in the 2025 class, and he is currently projected to end up in Eugene, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. At this point, it seems like a race between the Ducks and the Aggies for the elite safety.
Williams would be a huge addition to Oregon’s 2025 class, joining fellow 5-star players Dakorien Moore and Dallas Wilson. The Ducks are also in the mix to land 5-star S Trey McNutt, who will announce his commitment in the next couple of weeks as well.
