Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks continue to put themselves in a good spot when it comes to recruiting in the 2025 and 2026 classes.
The Ducks already have the No. 5 class in the nation for the 2025 cycle with four commitments, and they picked up a five-star edge rusher in Tony Cumberland over the weekend in the class of 2026, giving them their first commitment for that cycle.
Now it’s coming out that they are in the mix for a five-star edge rusher in the 2025 class. Mater Dei’s Nasir Wyatt included Oregon among his top eight schools this week.
Wyatt is the No. 20 player overall and the No. 2 edge in the 2025 class on the the 247Sports composite. He also included Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Tennessee and Ohio State among his top schools.

There is still a great deal of time left in Wyatt’s recruitment, so we will have to wait and see if the ducks can land the elite pass-rusher. However, it appears that they are in a good spot at the time being.
