51 days till Bengals season opener: Every player to wear No. 51 for Cincinnati

A look through Bengals history at the No. 51.

The No. 51 is another one of those numbers in Cincinnati Bengals lore that boasts a ton of names over the years and a few standouts.

Ken Avery, for example, was a brief staple of the then-AFL Bengals in the early 70s.

Then there was Takeo Spikes, a first-round pick by the Bengals in 1998 who started 79 of a possible 80 games with the team and was a captain.

Currently, the number belongs to linebacker Markus Bailey.

With roughly 51 days until the Bengals start the season, here’s a look at every player to wear the number for the Bengals, via Pro Football Reference.
