The Michigan Wolverines are 5-0 to start the young basketball season, but they are still in search of their first signature win in hopes to jump back into the top 25 poll – the Wolverines were the first team out of the AP Top 25 and coaches polls.
A win against the Penn State Nittany Lions on Sunday could do just that as Big Ten play begins in earnest.
PSU enters the game 3-1 overall, and it just came off of a giant win in their last game at No. 15 Virginia Tech in the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, with the surprising final score of 75-55.
The Nittany Lions have had a good start to their season as well with their only loss coming at the hands of Seton Hall in overtime. Penn State was a big mystery coming into the season after losing its long time head coach Pat Chambers back in October. Chambers was let go after some misconduct allegations, and interim coach John Ferry has done a great job thus far.
