The No. 10 Michigan Wolverines will be facing another ranked opponent come Wednesday night when it takes on the No. 16 Minnesota Golden Gophers at Crisler Center.
The Wolverines – who are 9-0 (4-0) – are coming off of a huge win against the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday when they won 85-66. We got to see Franz Wagner really come alive and double-double in the contest, and we got to continue to see the emergence of the star freshman center, Hunter Dickinson. A big bright spot came from the bench, in sixth man Chaundee Brown Jr.
Brown scored 14 points off the bench, and he played stellar defense to go along with his hot scoring hand.
Meanwhile, the Golden Gophers – who are 10-2 (3-2) – are coming off of a win against Michigan’s rival, Ohio State. Minnesota also has wins against Michigan State – which it demolished, 81-53 – and Iowa in the past four games. The Golden Gophers only have losses against Illinois and Wisconsin on the season.
Before tuning into the Big Ten Network at 8:30 p.m. EST. on Wednesday, here are five things you should know about Minnesota.
