5 takeaways: Michigan basketball takes down Indiana

What we liked and what we didn’t from Michigan basketball’s 73-57 win against Indiana.

Michigan basketball is coming off a series of tough matchups — Rutgers, at Ohio State and then Iowa — so how would it perform going back on the road to take on a pesky Indiana team?

It’s the Wolverines’ second game in three days, so with the quick turnaround and not having as big of a matchup as the recent stretch, could the Hoosiers upset the No. 3 team in the nation?

We didn’t see the normal iteration of the maize and blue in this one, particularly early on. While Michigan still scored a ton, it wasn’t because the offense was firing on all cylinders in Bloomington.

Bolstered by numerous trips to the free throw line and a defense that did enough, Michigan still won handily, 73-57.

Here are our five takeaways from the win.
