Run defense does it again

Against the Dolphins in Week 11, the Bills’ run defense came to play. The Dolphins’ No. 1 running back, Kalen Ballage, did score. But on nine carries, he had nine total yards rushing. The Bills offense also put an extensive lead on Miami early in that one and the Dolphins offense had to bail on running the ball.

That did not happen against the Broncos and the Bills still had a great outing defending the run. After the first quarter, the Broncos only mustered together 14 total rushing yards. Buffalo only led 3-0 after the first frame. At halftime, Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay only mustered 22 rushing yards. He finished the day with 57 rushing yards and the Broncos only had 57 as a team.

Granted, the Bills didn’t have a big test against a good passer in this one. Denver quarterback Brandon Allen isn’t scaring anyone. Regardless, credit where credit is due. The Bills shut down the running game of a team not named the Miami Dolphins.
