How much damage will DeAndre Hopkins do?
With a guy like Tre’Davious White, it’s not a foregone conclusion that DeAndre Hopkins will walk in the door and just produce. But even with White, Bills fans should expect to hear Hopkins’ name throughout the game on Sunday. He’s simply just too good to completely shutdown.
Despite not playing in the Texans’ season finale, Hopkins still had 104 catches, 1,165 receiving yards and seven touchdowns this season. Pro Football Focus also grades him as their fourth-best receiver in the entire league.
In his career against Buffalo, Hopkins has 15 catches on 21 targets and three touchdowns. He’s scored in all three games he’s played against the Bills in his career, even the last one and only one with Tre’Davious White on Buffalo’s roster. That day White held Hopkins to 63 yards, but on six targets, he had give catches, including a touchdown.
With speedy, deep threat Will Fuller likely to miss the game, the Bills could afford to give White some help with Hopkins, at times, in this one.
