5 reasons why the Bills should avoid Cam Newton

Those are just a few of the places rumored to be Newton’s next destination, but Buffalo is surprisingly amongst those teams.

Not a Buffalo guy in the past

While this attitude may change with a job opportunity and a pay check, Newton has made his feelings on the Bills apparent, at least once.

Last May, a video was released of Newton tossing a Bills hat in the trash at a charity softball game. Newton took it off of a fans head, and ran it to the garbage.

Not the most courteous way to celebrate someone participating at your charity event, and it didn’t seem to be in fun.

Make the determination for yourself, of course. The Bills have been presented as a team built around culture, and if Newton felt that way about the Bills at one point, chances are he may still. Plus just last year, he did a little bit of trash talking to Ed Oliver while the Bills and Panthers were doing a joint practice as well. At the time, Bills cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and Newton were joking, but Newton did add a little jab at Oliver, too. Maybe just a little “welcome to the league,” though?

Granted, he may have been still down on the Bills after the Kelvin Benjamin feud. Brandon Beane’s goal was to make Buffalo a place that players wanted to come to, and going the length to sign him almost seems hypocritical at this point.
