1985: Patrick Ewing, New York Knicks

In his first season in the NBA, Ewing led the Knicks to an epic comeback win to stun the Boston Celtics, who would go on to win the NBA championship that season.

Ewing recorded 32 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block as the Knicks erased a 25-point deficit to defeat the Celtics in double overtime.

The performance by Ewing still ranks as the fifth-most points scored on Christmas Day by a rookie player as his 32 points were also a then-career-high at the time.

The Knicks would finish that season with a 23-59 record.
