The Chargers make a ton of sense for the former Heisman Trophy runner up. First off, they’re picking at No. 6 overall, which is a right in that sweet spot (3-6 range) for where Tagovailoa might go.

Los Angeles also has built up the right side of its offensive line during the offseason with the additions of right tackle Bryan Bulaga (free agency) and right guard Trai Turner (trade). Considering Tagovailoa is a left-handed quarterback, building the right side to protect the blindside makes sense.

With wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, tight end Hunter Henry and pass-catching running back Austin Ekeler all in the fold, Tagovailoa would have plenty of weapons to target.
