The Atlanta Falcons are likely in the early stages of a rebuild under first-year head coach Arthur Smith. That doesn’t mean the Falcons can’t remain competitive with several talented veterans remaining on the roster, including former MVP quarterback Matt Ryan.
The Falcons enter their Week 4 matchup against Washington with a 1-2 record. After an ugly start to the season, Atlanta picked up a last-second win over the New York Giants in Week 3. Washington’s only win also came against the Giants in Week 2, on a last-second field goal.
This is a big game for Washington with a tough stretch ahead, beginning in Week 5 against the Saints. The Falcons have several outstanding players on offense and will present quite the challenge for Washington’s struggling defense.
