RBs, TEs not taken

Clyde Edwards-Helaire. That’s the start and end of the list for running backs that were taken in the first round. Edwards-Helaire didn’t even get selected until the final pick of the day as well, going to the Chiefs.

If the Bills do like running backs in Round 2, there should be a plentiful supply for them to choose from. Draft Wire actually ranked Edwards-Helaire their fifth-best back in the draft, meaning the top-four are all still there. That group includes Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor, Georgia’s D’Ander Swift, Ohio State’s JK Dobbins and Florida State’s Cam Akers. Could one of these players form a dynamic duo with Devin Singletary in Buffalo’s backfield?

Tight ends on the other hand? Well, running backs did better than them. None were taken. It’s not the most touted group of tight end prospects ever, but the Bills did bring Greg Olsen in for a free agent visit, so maybe they’d like one at some point? The top available ones left include Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet, Washington’s Hunter Bryant, and Missouri’s Albert Okwuegbunam.
