Matt Barkley or Jake Fromm? Most would consider the jump from college to pro football tough across the board for any positon, but it’s no tougher than at quarterback. There’s just so many factors that go into the game, look no further than Josh Allen. He’s entering the third year of his career, and we’re still looking for more. And that’s not a knock on him, look around his own draft class, even.

No. 1 pick Baker Mayfield and No. 3 pick Sam Darnold both don’t look as good as Allen, who was the No. 7 pick. And yeah, Lamar Jackson is an MVP with the Ravens, but he did not get tossed into the fire, he sat and marinated for a bit on the bench.

So really this is a no-brainer here. The Bills cannot be comfortable going with just Allen and Fromm on their roster. No one would be, and more teams are going to carry  more quarterbacks this season on their roster than in years past. Book it. The Bills will be no different and Barkley’s certainly going to be the No. 2 QB now.
