4-star WR Tetairoa McMillan flips his commitment and signs with Arizona

4-star WR Tetairoa McMillan flips his commitment and signs with Arizona late Friday night.

The Oregon Ducks got a huge disappointment Friday night, with the announcement that 4-star wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan signed with the Arizona Wildcats.

There was always the hope that the 4-star Servite receiver would stick with Oregon after the departure of Mario Cristobal, and he said as much leading up to early signing day. However, it was believed to be a two-team race until the end, with the Wildcats winning out in the end.

New Oregon head coach Dan Lanning and his staff were hoping McMillan would wait and decide where he was going to college until the traditional February signing day. Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case.

McMillan is the No. 5 WR in the nation, and the No. 36 player overall. His addition to Oregon’s roster would have been huge, especially after losing a player like Devon Williams to the NFL draft.

We won’t get a great look at how Oregon’s 2022 recruiting class will really shape out until February, but this is a setback for Lanning and his staff.
