4-star OT announces shuts down recruitment, will sign with Georgia

Four-star offensive tackle Tate Ratledge shuts down recruitment, will sign with the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday

With the early signing period just days away, Coach Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs received some excellent news Saturday out of Rome.

Four-star offensive tackle Tate Ratledge, the No. 36 player in the nation and No. 5 in the state will sign with the Dawgs on Wednesday.

A 6’6″, 322-pound beast out of Darlington High School, Ratledge decided to shut down his recruitment on Saturday evening after visiting with newly hired offensive line coach Matt Luke and Coach Smart earlier in the week.

The Bulldogs have already lost one offensive line commit this week with the departure of Sam Pittman, but look to have retained one of their top targets in the Class of 2020.

What a job by Smart and Luke to lock down Ratledge so quickly.
