The defensive line is one of the positions that has seen the biggest upgrade under Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning since he came to Eugene, particularly in the recruiting sense.
This past offseason saw a long list of blue-chippers commit and sign with the Ducks on the defensive line, and it looks like Lanning is trying to continue that trend going forward.
Over the holiday weekend, Wyatt Gilmore, an elite EDGE announced that he is strongly considering the Ducks in his recruitment. Gilmore is rated by 247Sports as the No. 20 EDGE in the 2024 class. He is also listed as the No. 516 overall player in the nation, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Gilmore has yet to take a visit to Eugene, but he listed the Ducks among his top schools alongside teams like Miami, Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Kansas State.
We will see in the coming months how the Ducks are able to progress in his recruitment, and if they can get an official visit out of him.
