4-star DB locks in spring visit date with Gators

Florida continues to stay close to this in-state four-star safety from the class of 2024.

Four-star Clearwater (Florida) safety [autotag]Jarvis Boatwright Jr[/autotag]. is headed back to the Swamp for a spring visit, according to Gators Online.

Boatwright should be back in town at the beginning of April for his second visit of the calendar year and his fourth visit since picking up an offer in July 2022. He was most recently in town for one of Florida’s Junior Days in January, which is when he initially mentioned plans to return for a spring visit.

“Yes, in March I will be visiting. Actually, it’s April 1,” Boatwright said.

Safeties coach and defensive coordinator Patrick Toney has been in contact with him for a while, and Boatwright feels that he could help develop into an NFL-caliber player.

“I want to be developed and be the best DB. That’s what I’m looking for, to be developed. Education is key but I always want to be developed. (Florida) is up there,” said Boatwright

Florida landed in Boatwright’s top five along with Florida State, South Carolina, Tennessee and UCF, but that’s unsurprising since he’s called UF his dream school in the past. The Gators still need to lock him down, though, and getting him back on campus frequently is a good way to do it.

Boatwright comes in at No. 363 on the 247Sports’ overall rankings and No. 28 among safeties in the class of 2024. The On3 consensus has him in a similar spot at No. 367 overall and No. 32 positionally. On3 also drops him down to three-star status.
