The 49ers on Thursday announced the signing of their entire 2022 draft class.
All nine draftees signed their four-year deals, which means San Francisco can avoid any draft-pick drama going into training camp. Although given that none of the selections came in the first round it’s not a huge surprise that the minimal contract negotiations went quickly.
The 49ers initially didn’t have the cap space necessary to ink their full class, but Alex Mack’s reworked contract and retirement freed up plenty of space to fit in the nine draft picks.
Three players – defensive end Drake Jackson, wide receiver Danny Gray and cornerback Samuel Womack – had their signings reported by their agencies before San Francisco’s announcement. The other six players are running back Tyrion Davis-Price, offensive linemen Spencer Burford and Nick Zaklej, defensive lineman Kalia Davis, CB Tariq Castro-Fields and quarterback Brock Purdy.
