The 49ers’ list of picks going into the 2020 NFL draft was finalized Tuesday after the league awarded its compensatory selections.
San Francisco, which could’ve used a compensatory pick or two, was not awarded any thinks to what the NFL’s comp pick formula considered a net gain in free agency last year.
General manager John Lynch will still have just six picks to work with in this year’s draft, including none between Rounds 1 and 5, and only one in the top 150.
Here’s their new list of picks:
Round 1, Pick 31
Round 5, Pick 157 (via Denver)
Round 5, Pick 177
Round 6, Pick 211
Round 7, Pick 218 (via Detroit)
Round 7, Pick 246
The 49ers used to have a pair of picks in the top 150, but the comp selections pushed their Round 5 pick from Denver down 18 spots.
Lynch and the front office have some work to do if they’re going to maneuver around the draft board to try and accumulate more picks in the top 150.
