49ers LB Dre Greenlaw exits early from game vs. Dolphins

San Francisco linebacker Dre Greenlaw exited early in the 49ers’ contest vs. the Dolphins with an injury.

The San Francisco 49ers suffered an unfortunate injury development early in their Sunday contest at Hard Rock Stadium versus the Miami Dolphins.

49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw exited the contest with a right calf injury and is listed as questionable to return.

Greenlaw entered the day with his status listed as questionable with Achilles and knee injuries.

After suffering a torn Achilles in Super Bowl LVIII, Greenlaw made his 2024 season debut last week against the Los Angeles Rams. Even during an abbreviated workload, Greenlaw tallied eight tackles against the Rams.

Greenlaw is a potential unrestricted free agent this coming offseason. The 6-foot, 230 pound linebacker racked up 127 and 120 tackles in the respective 2022 and 2023 NFL seasons.

San Francisco’s defense limits opponents to 19.7 points per game and boasts a 44-19 record in its 63 regular season games with Greenlaw. In the 34 games without Greenlaw, San Francisco is just 16-18 and allows 21.1 points per game.

Greenlaw was a fifth-round selection in the 2019 NFL draft by the 49ers.
