49ers injury report: Jimmy Garoppolo gets full practice

Jimmy Garoppolo was a full participant in the first practice of Week 6 for the first time since Week 2.

The 49ers practice report came with what appears to be positive news. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was a full participant in practice while he works his way back from his high ankle sprain.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan on Monday indicated Garoppolo hadn’t hurt himself worse playing last week against the Dolphins, and expected his quarterback to perhaps be even healthier and ready play Sunday night vs. the Rams

Garoppolo was limited Wednesday and Thursday last week before getting a full practice in during Friday’s walk-through. This week was his first full Wednesday participation since Week 2.

Here’s the participation report from Wednesday:

Did not participate

LB Kwon Alexander (ankle)
CB Dontae Johnson (groin)

Limited participation

CB Emmanuel Moseley (concussion)

Full participation

QB Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle)
DL DJ Jones (eye)
