With the Nov. 2 trade deadline, the Jets are positioned as sellers.
New York sits near the bottom of the league and might not be interested in keeping some of its tradeable veterans as it focuses on developmental players with sights set on 2022. Though Robert Saleh said the Jets aren’t in fire sale mode, it would behoove Joe Douglas to look at all options this week.
While safety Marcus Maye has the most potential to be unloaded before Tuesday’s deadline, wide receiver Jamison Crowder is another option for the Jets to move. The 28-year-old receiver remains a productive pass-catcher who is in the final year of his contract. He also took a 50-percent pay cut last offseason.
Despite the rumors swirling around his name, Crowder recently said he’s trying not to think about where he could finish the 2021 season.
“It’s something that I don’t pay attention to,” Crowder said before Week 7. “Obviously, it’s a business, but my main focus is to come out each day and prepare for this week. That’s just how I view it.”
While Crowder may not be thinking about these things, the Jets and other teams certainly are. With that said, here are four potential trade suitors for Crowder ahead of the deadline.
