4 positional needs for Bears through early free agency

After the Bears focused on some needs in free agency at TE, QB and EDGE, they still have some key positions that need to be addressed.

2. Tight end

The offense had a number of issues last season, but tight end was arguably the worst. That’s what happens when your top three tight ends wind up on injured reserve and the entire position group combines for 46 catches, 416 yards and two touchdowns.

While the Bears added veteran Jimmy Graham in free agency, their tight end issue is far from solved. Expect the Bears to target a young prospect in the NFL Draft, where they’re likely to have their pick of tight ends. Cole Kmet, Brycen Hopkins and Harrison Bryant are names to watch.
