It’s unclear how impactful they’ll be under first-year head coach Dennis Allen, but the New Orleans Saints are looking to hire a new defensive coordinator as his replacement. Whether the new coordinator is responsible for calling plays or not is something he’s said will be worked out in meeting with candidates for the job, though it’s certain Allen will have a big role in designing game plans each week and executing them.
