4 keys to victory for Commanders vs. Packers in Week 7

We’ve identified four keys to victory for the Commanders against the Packers in Week 7.

The Washington Commanders [2-4] have a new quarterback for their showdown with the Green Bay Packers [3-3] in Week 7. Taylor Heinicke is back under for Washington after Carson Wentz fractured the ring finger on his throwing hand and is out 4-6 weeks.

This will be Heinicke’s second career start vs. the Packers. Last season, Heinicke completed 25 of 37 passes for 268 yards with a touchdown and interception. He also rushed for 95 yards in a 24-10 loss. If not for an ill-conceived dive near the goal line, the results of this game could’ve been different.

It’s not often a team feels optimistic about its backup quarterback going against a perennial playoff contender, but Washington coaches and players believe in Heinicke.

For the Commanders to defeat the Packers, Heinicke will need help. Here are four keys to victory for Washington.
