3-Point Shot Wisconsin vs. Purdue

What are three things Wisconsin needs to do in order to beat Purdue on Tuesday?

3-POINTER: CAN WISCONSIN HAVE SUCCESS AGAINST PURDUE’S FRONTCOURT?

Purdue’s length has given Wisconsin trouble at times as the Badgers struggle to consistently score down low or generate offensive rebounds for themselves.

In the first meeting between the two teams Wisconsin only had success in one of those areas.

The Badgers were able to score 29 points in the paint the second most points they have scored around the rim over conference play. But they generated a season low two offensive rebounds against the Boilermakers.

Simply put the Badgers are going to need to be able to have more success in generating offensive rebounds against Purdue on Tuesday.

Purdue over conference play is allowing their opponents to register 12.06 offensive rebounds a game. If Wisconsin is aggressive once a shot goes up they should be able to generate a second chance for themselves.

Purdue over conference play is averaging 3.5 blocks a game but against Wisconsin, the Boilermakers registered five blocks, the second most the Boilermakers have registered over conference play.

Making it important that when Wisconsin does generate a post touch they are able to make sure the Boilermakers can’t challenge the shot. Wisconsin’s ability to be able to consistently make their shots around the paint will go a long way in helping Wisconsin control the game.
