Of the 742 Southeastern Conference honor roll student-athletes announced by SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey, 32 walks the University of Arkansas campus.
The winter SEC Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of basketball, equestrian, gymnastics, and swimming & diving. Student-athletes are selected based on their 2022 fall, summer, and fall semesters grades.
Two essential criteria are based on a grade point average of 3.00 or above for the preceding academic year. The student-athlete must have been a varsity team member for the sport’s entire NCAA Championship segment.
Davonte Davis is the most notable name on the list as a Sport Management major.
While Davis was killing the classrooms, he became the leader of the men’s basketball team, having a breakout season that hit its pinnacle during the Razorbacks’ run to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
Samara Spencer is another name that pops off the screen. Spencer was the SEC Freshman of the Year in her first season with the Hogs. As a sophomore, she averaged 14 points a game and was one of the leaders on the women’s basketball team.
