3 observations: Danny Green leads shorthanded Sixers past Lakers

Danny Green led the way as the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers knocked off the Los Angeles Lakers on the road.

The Philadelphia 76ers were looking to continue the road momentum despite being very shorthanded. They entered Thursday night’s big matchup with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers while missing Joel Embiid already but then were without Tony Bradley, Vincent Poirier, and Terrance Ferguson who were shipped out in a trade.

To make matters worse, the Sixers then lost Dwight Howard to an ejection in the first quarter which meant that Philadelphia did not have any true big men active. It did not matter as they were able to come away with a 109-101 win to improve to 3-0 to begin their 6-game road trip.

Danny Green led Philadelphia with 28 points, Seth Curry had 19 in his return from a left ankle injury, Tobias Harris had 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists, Shake Milton had 12 off the bench, and Ben Simmons added nine, 12 assists, and eight boards.

Here are the three observations in this win:
