Now, for the shooter of the bunch. Merrill shot 42.0% from deep over his four seasons with the Aggies and he averaged 20.9 points and 19.7 points over his final two seasons, respectively. He is not only an elite catch and shoot guy–which is a badly needed skill in Philadelphia–but he can also shoot off the dribble as well.

Kalbrosky, who has Merrill ranked 61st, noted:

Sam Merrill shot 42.0% from 3-point range during his four-year collegiate career but is more than just a good shooter off the catch. As noted by The Athletic’s John Hollinger, Merrill shot well off the dribble and off screens while boasting 3.9 assists to 1.9 turnovers per game in 2019-20.
