3 keys to Auburn’s 42-13 lopsided loss to Alabama

Auburn was embarrassed in Bryant-Denny Stadium against Alabama as the Tiger lost 42-13 in the 2020 Iron Bowl.

Well, that was one of the biggest blowouts in recent Iron Bowl history. The 29-point difference are the most since Auburn lost 49-0 in 2012 and Gene Chizik was promptly fired.

Auburn started the game with the opening kick and things only went downhill from there, culminating in a 42-13 blowout loss that was never competitive.

The game served as a reminder that there is a sizable gap between Auburn and Alabama. Auburn is a good program; Alabama is the best in the country.
