247Sports ranks Texas’ Quinn Ewers as one the nation’s best quarterbacks

Take a look at where Ewers lands on 247Sports’ top 20 quarterbacks.

Is Quinn Ewers the best quarterback to never attempt a college pass or even be named the starter?

The answer to that seems to be yes, as even with just a few career handoffs under his belt the former five-star and perfectly rated recruit continues to find himself in the conversation for being one of the nation’s best quarterbacks.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports recently released his rankings of the top 20 quarterbacks in the country, and the new Texas gunslinger came in at No. 18, just ahead of Jaxson Dart and Anthony Richardson.

Ewers was listed below Louisville’s Malik Cunningham, Purdue’s Aidan O’Connell, and Kentucky’s Will Levis among others.

Considering Ewers hasn’t even taken the field for Texas or thrown a pass in college, this ranking seems fair for now. However, if he is even as half as advertised, Ewers can easily find himself in the top 10 if not higher.

Having the surplus of weapons at his disposal that Texas does will only help his chances.
