247Sports made a list of the top 10 most winning programs of the 2010 era, and Alabama was named the No. 1 team.
In the 2010 era, Alabama won 4 national titles. And the Crimson Tide went 124-15 for a 89.2% winning percentage.
According to 247Sports, here are the high points from the Tide’s 2010 era:
“Alabama rebounded from its “low point” of the decade with arguably its two best seasons with back-to-back national championships in the final years of the Bowl Championship Series era. The 2012 team rebounded from a 29-24 loss to Johnny Manziel’s Texas A&M team in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 10 by knocking off Georgia in a dramatic finish in the SEC Championship and a 42-14 drilling of No. 1 Notre Dame in the BCS Championship to win the Tide’s second straight national title.”
247Sports also labeled the low points as of course the kicking side of the team, like the Kick Six loss in 2013. But they made it clear “we’re focusing on overall seasons here.”
Here’s how the Tide 2010 era went down:
2019: 11-2
2018: 14-1 (SEC champions, national runner-up)
2017: 13-1 (National champions, SEC champions)
2016: 14-1 (SEC champions, national runner-up)
2015: 14-1 (National champions)
2014: 12-2 (SEC champions)
2013: 11-2
2012: 13-1 (National champions, SEC champions)
2011: 12-1 (National champions)
2010: 10-3
Clearly, Alabama has continued to improve each and every season.
Starting with 2010, where the Tide returned from winning a National Championship in 2009.
After 2010, the Tide won back to back national titles in 2011 and 2012.
Alabama would go on to win 2 more national titles in 2015 and 2017.
Clearly, the Crimson Tide created a dynasty, and it’s nowhere near finished.
There’s no doubt this next decade could just be just as successful, or even more so, than the last.
