247Sports daringly predicts that USC will have another average season

The Irish would love to see the Trojans remain an average team

As many Notre Dame football fans do, they’re always watching to see how its main rivals will fare in the upcoming season.

For USC, they completed their 2023 regular season with losses in 5 of its last 6 games, starting with the 48-20 debacle at the hands of the Irish. Quarterback Caleb Williams will no longer be around, and it’s looking like they will feel his loss.

Brad Crawford of 247Sports made 10 daring projections for the upcoming season, and one of them revolved around the Trojans. He claimed that they will “lose four games vs. Top 25 teams, again,” and believes that one of home could be against Notre Dame.

A key here is that Crawford thinks that the Irish will make the expanded College Football Playoff field. Many of us believe that will be the case, as Notre Dame on paper looks like a much better team than last season.

Regardless, it’s always great to see USC projected to have a down year.
