[lawrence-newsletter]This morning, 247Sports senior writer Brad Crawford unveiled his “way-too-early bowl projections” for the upcoming college football season. Wisconsin found themselves in a battle with the defending national champion LSU Tigers.
The Badgers and the Tigers are projected to meet in the Citrus Bowl in Florida. If LSU and Wisconsin do meet in the Citrus Bowl, it would mean that both teams slip up in the regular season likely to the tune of two or three losses.
Here is what Crawford had to say about the potential matchup:
The defending national champions in Orlando? Assuming this projection is accurate, that would mean LSU falters vs. Alabama, Florida and probably Texas this season for three losses. The Tigers are talented and bring back several projected first-round picks, but quarterback Myles Brennan is the wild-card that gives most preseason prognosticators pause in penciling in LSU with another final four invite.
While a battle with LSU would be an intriguing matchup for the Badgers, if it comes in the Citrus Bowl that means Wisconsin would have had a few losses leading up to the bowl game.
