247Sports’ Blake Brockermeyer believes Arch Manning will go to Texas

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

The Arch Manning to Texas rumors have certainly heated up this week and where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

First, four-star quarterback Eli Holstein received a crystal ball prediction to join the Crimson Tide. This ultimately serves as an indictor that Alabama is no longer considered a top landing spot for Manning.

To add fuel to the fire, On3’s prediction machine increased Texas’ chances of landing Manning by 6% on Thursday. The Longhorns hold a 44.4% chance of landing him, while Georgia is just behind with 37.9%. Alabama has dropped to a distant third with 15.4%.

Finally, 247Sports’ Blake Brockermeyer tabbed Texas as the frontrunner during a recent episode of The Block. “I think he’s going to go to Texas. I think Texas is somewhere he can create his own special legacy,” Brockermeyer said.

While nothing is set in stone and there is no timetable for Manning’s announcement, the Longhorns are certainly trending in the right direction.

Steve Sarkisian’s strong relationship with Manning may ultimately be the deciding factor that pushes Texas over Georgia when it’s all said and done.
