247Sports and Fox Sports have Texas RB Bijan Robinson as a leader for Heisman trophy

If he had to choose today, Joel Klatt would vote for Bijan Robinson as the Heisman winner.

The do-it-all running back for Texas is garnering major attention from college football experts and fans all over the nation.

Bijan Robinson has been an absolute star through the first six games of the season, and many media outlets like 247Sports and Fox Sports are naming him as a candidate for some of college football’s most prestigious awards.

That comes as no surprise, as Robinson has been embarrassing defenders all season long on his way to 789 rushing yards, eight rushing touchdowns, while also adding on 15 catches for 196 yards and two touchdowns.

He has been the ultimate weapon for Texas, and his talents have not gone unnoticed. 247Sports’ Luke Brockermeyer released his current Heisman rankings, and has Bijan Robinson as the runner up to Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. Brockermeyer does have Robinson as the favorite to win the Doak Walker award however, for the nation’s best running back.

Unlike Brockermeyer, Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt actually ranked Robinson as the current Heisman favorite. If he had to choose a winner today, it’d be Robinson.

Whether or not Robinson wins these awards, he is poised to finish off the season in a major way. The Longhorns will need every explosive run he can muster, as Texas is currently looking to redeem their loss to Oklahoma and make it to Dallas for the Big 12 Championship.
