The New York Giants entered Sunday’s slate of games officially eliminated from securing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
That spot was locked up on Saturday when the Cleveland Browns fell to the Baltimore Ravens, 35-10.
Depending on how the Week 18 games wrapped up, the Giants could have picked as high as No. 2 overall or as low as No. 9 overall. They had owned the first overall pick until a stunning upset of the Indianapolis Colts last week.
Following their 20-13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles coupled with the remaining results around the league, the Giants will now officially select No. 3 overall come April.
The top five shakes out as follows:
- Tennessee Titans
- Cleveland Browns
- New York Giants
- New England Patriots
- Jacksonville Jaguars
Many believe the Giants, led by general manager Joe Schoen, will be on the hunt for a quarterback but will now likely have to trade up to secure one of the perceived top two — Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward.
The Giants extensively scouted both quarterbacks this season.
