The Michael Fasusi recruiting saga is coming to an end this week. The 5-star offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class will announce his commitment on Wednesday, August 21. The Lewisville, Texas product will choose between five programs, including Texas A&M.
Texas, Oregon, Florida, and Oklahoma join the Aggies as the other four competing programs, while the Longhorns remain the favorites. However, rumors have swirled that Oklahoma and Texas A&M are still in the mix.
After visiting College Station on June 6, Fasusi developed a close relationship with both Aggies’ head coach Mike Elko and new O-line coach Adam Cushing, as Texas A&M has already landed four offensive line commitments in the 2025 cycle.
Standing at 6 feet, 4 inches, and nearly 300 pounds, Fasusi is highly versatile. He has experience at both tackle spots. However, due to his quickness and impressive footwork, his future is clearly at left tackle.
Looking back at Texas A&M’s success in developing left tackles through the years, Elko and Cushing certainly have a selling point, so Wednesday should be very interesting, to say the least.
Fasusi will announce his commitment at Lewisville High School as his announcement is set for 3:00 p.m. CT.
