Texas A&M’s 2024 college football season is less than two months away. Mike Elko’s inaugural campaign will begin inside a packed Kyle Field in prime time against Notre Dame on Saturday, August 31.
With the roster all but set as the Aggies fall camp begins in several weeks, Elko and his hard-working coaching staff have dominated the recruiting trail this summer. The momentum has continued to build in the 2025 recruiting class, which is now 16 commitments deep.
On Sunday, A&M’s 2025 cycle secured its third prospect out of California. Four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail chose the Aggies over Oregon and USC, becoming the second LB commit in the class while bringing elite instincts and athleticism to the future roster.
With 2025 four-star Edge Marco Jones set to commit on Tuesday, it has now been revealed that 2025 four-star wide receiver Kelshaun Johnson will announce his commitment on Monday, July 8, as the Hitchcock (TX) native is a favorite to land with Aggies have his official visit to College Station back on June 6.
Ahead of Monday, Johson will choose between Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas Tech, Texas, and Texas A&M.

According to 247Sports, Johnson is currently ranked 192nd among prospects in the 2025 class, 8th among wide receiver prospects, and 27th among prospects in Texas. If Johnson commits to Texas A&M, he will join three-star wide receiver Tristan Norman as the only two receiver commits in the class.
