It’s been a busy summer for Mike Elko and his staff on the recruiting trail. Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class has continued to grow over the last month after adding two more prospects, led by the announcement on Sunday afternoon of highly talented four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail.
With a clear emphasis on adding defensive talent and future depth on the offensive line, the most impressive feat thus far is Elko’s dominance on the California recruiting trail. The program has landed commitments from the top 5 2025 prospects in the state, as five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet and four-star cornerback Adonyss Currie will join Mikhail in Aggieland.
While Mikhail and four-star LB Kelvion Riggins have more than compensated for the Aggies’ recent misses on elite linebacker talent, there’s a remaining piece to the puzzle. Four-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn is set to announce his commitment on Saturday, July 6.
Pettijohn will choose between Ohio State, USC, Texas, and Texas A&M. The incoming McKinney HS senior is coming off several official visits, including his most recent OV to College Station on June 21. A favorite to land with the Longhorns, no one can count the Aggies out after what Elko has accomplished on the recruiting trail so far.
