Boom! Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class just got a major boost with the addition of its 16th commitment, four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail. His decision to choose the Aggies over Oregon and USC, after developing close relationships with head coach Mike Elko and defensive coordinator/linebacker coach Jay Bateman, is a significant win for the team.
Under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, landing top linebacker prospects was a consistent issue before current sophomore LB Taurean York burst on the scene during the 2023 season, and even then, he was only a three-star prospect.
While talent, especially in York’s case, can’t be justified only by recruiting rankings, Mikhail’s speed, sideline-to-sideline agility, and overall athleticism while being a proven tackling machine are some of the many reasons he’s one of the Top 100 ranked prospects in the 2025 class.
During his 2023 junior season, Mikhail recorded 166 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, an interception, and a sack, which, of course, led to his profile steadily rising in the rankings ahead of what should be an equally productive senior campaign.
According to 247Sports, Mikhail is currently positioned as the 83rd-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 10th-ranked linebacker, and the 5th-ranked prospect in California.
