Alabama extended an offer to 2024 shooting guard Elijah Moore on Tuesday. He would later list the Tide as a finalist in his recruitment on Tuesday evening.
Moore is from the Bronx, New York. That is worth noting because Alabama assistant coach Brian Hodgson has been able to recruit in that area particularly well. He coached under Nate Oats at Buffalo and has since continued to recruit the state at a high level.
When asked why Alabama was included as a finalist, here is what Moore told On3’s, Joe Tipton:
They just want to win and send kids to the pros. I want to be a pro. They talk to me about their belief in me and what I can do. I really love the school’s environment and can’t wait to get out there to see what’s up. Coach Bryan (Hodgson) is a cool guy who gives a certain energy that I can feed off.
Tipton also went on to note that the expectation is that Moore will take an official visit to Alabama on January 24. However, that has not been confirmed by Moore at this point.
