2024 S Marcus Goree Jr. includes Colorado in final five

Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, Michigan State and Colorado made three-star safety Marcus Goree Jr.’s top five

Compared to the past two months, February has been a bit slower for Colorado football recruiting. The Buffs could add a few more transfers following the next open portal window, but we likely won’t see many more 2023 high school prospects sign.

Head coach Deion Sanders’ work is just getting started for CU’s 2024 class, however. Three-star safety Marcus Goree Jr. dropped his top five schools on Thursday and Colorado was included along with Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska and Michigan State.

The Bradley Central (Cleveland, Tennessee) junior is the No. 10 ranked player in his home state and the No. 62 athlete, per the 247Sports Composite. Goree was offered by CU in December and took a visit in late January during the program’s Elite Underclassmen Weekend.

Currently, Colorado’s 2024 class is ranked No. 13 overall with five commits, including two defensive linemen, one wide receiver, one offensive lineman and a projected cornerback.
